TELLGEN HPV DNA GENOTYPING CBA KIT able to detect 26 different HPV types simultaneously in a single test. Extracted HPV DNA sample from the specimen will be amplified through improved single-tube PCR method, then the PCR products were directly hybridized to the bead-array without secondary amplification or purification. Matching sequence in the PCR amplified products (Biotin-tagged primers) will be captured by the specifically designed probe respectively for each HPV types, which is conjugated individually to fluorescently addressable microspheres. Samples were run on the CBA system then analyzed through specially designed software.

ABOUT HPV
Human papilloma viruses (HPVs) is a very common sexually transmitted virus. The presence of certain types of HPV in genital tract is associated with a number of diseases like: condyloma, intraepithelial neoplasia and cancer. HPV generally classified as high-risk or low-risk depending on their known association or lack of association with cancer. Low-risk HPV types like 6, 11 etc was associated with genital warts. High-risk HPV types like 16, 18, 31, 33 etc are strongly associated with vulval, penile, anal and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and squamous cell carcinoma. TELLGEN HPV DNA GENOTYPING CBA KIT is used to screening for the presence or absence of most common 26 HPV types simultaneously in the single test by applying both multiplex PCR techniques and CBA technology. It provides appropriate capabilities for routine clinical and lab testing. The direct detection of HPV types in cervical specimens may offer an alternative or complement to population-based cytological screening.
